Healing doesn’t have to be sad
Hey!!!
Good Morning! How are you? It’s always good to check in with yourself and assess where you are (even if it’s evening when you are reading this). So today I want to talk about one of my favorite things – HEALING!
Yes, Healing is a topic I love to talk about, and more and more people are joining the conversation. As I have been listening and doing my own work over the last 10 years, I have heard, seen and felt that healing is a sad process.
Today I want to share that healing doesn’t have to be sad. Healing can be one of the most rewarding things you have ever done. No, healing isn’t always pretty and some days it can be messy, but that doesn’t mean you have to be sad.
When I think of healing, I think of freedom. I think of peace. One is allowed to experience and express their healing how they see fit. It is seeing the good in others, the freedom, the release that helps others to want to find their own healing.
Once one decides to start the journey to healing a new being emerges. Think about it, when the caterpillar created the cocoon it was a wrestling journey. The caterpillar doesn’t just say, “today I’ll make a cocoon” and like magic it’s a made. The caterpillar needed the right conditions and had to create a thick enough barrier that it could protect it through the season. It needed to wrap itself in such a manner that nothing could deter it from becoming a butterfly – not wind, rain, or even predators. While we may not be caterpillars, we have definitely cocooned ourselves. The world we live in is not easy and most days it can be scary, but how do we become butterflies?
Caterpillars don’t go around telling the ants and worms that they are about to become butterflies, they just do. They don’t say bye, the next time you see me I’ll be a butterfly, or I’m going to be gone for a while in my cocoon. It just happens and they are not sad about it. Healing, changing, evolving is good and necessary and should be celebrated.
If you are ready to dive deeper or continue this conversation, send me an email and let’s work together.
Until then,
Here’s to becoming Healthy, Happy and Whole.
